Privacy & discretion

Desire, on your terms.

A little mystery is yours to keep. Choose who sees you, what you reveal, and when you let someone closer.

The art of discretion

Not everything
needs to be revealed.

Your presence. Your permission.
01 / An introduction to your privacy
01 / The inner circle

Protection, from the outside in.

Nobody sees a single profile until they've verified a government ID and a person has read their application. Veriff matches the ID to a live selfie; if it can't decide, our team reviews it by hand. Your ID is never shown to other members.

Verification confirms who someone is. It is not a criminal background check. More on verification.Every level
02 / Permission to reveal

Seen only by who you choose.

Turn on blurred-photo mode and your photos stay blurred until you approve someone, one person at a time. You decide whether to grant access.

JRequest from J. · just now

J. would like to see you.

A request arrives from someone you've been talking to. Your photos stay blurred while you think it over, for as long as you like.

Yes, no, or not yet.

Approve or decline, one person at a time. Nobody clicks their way past it.

Demonstration · example photo

Revealed, and signed.

Approved photos carry a faint watermark naming whoever is viewing them, and right-click saving and dragging are switched off.

Interactive preview with an example photo. A watermark identifies the viewer; it cannot prevent screenshots, photographs of a screen, or all copying.

03 / Space to disappear

Keep a little distance.

Choose a place and a radius, and members inside it aren't shown your profile in Discover. Set one for home, another for work.

  • Incognito browsing: look around without appearing in anyone's list of who viewed them.
  • Black-only visibility: vanish from Discover and Search for everyone below Black.
Black

Anywhere from half a mile to 100 miles. Members inside the circle fade from view.

Report & block

One tap, always.

From any profile or conversation. A person on our team reads every report, and the member is never told who sent it.

  • Block is instant and silent, and lasts until you choose to undo it.
  • Report goes straight to our safety team, never to an automated filter. How reporting works.
